💙 Special Education: Inclusive Care
At Eeny Meeny Preschool, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all children, including those with special needs. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. We are dedicated to working collaboratively with families to accommodate the unique needs of each child.
Identification and Assessment
If you believe your child may have special needs or require additional support, we encourage you to inform us during the enrollment process. Our staff will work closely with you to understand your child’s individual strengths, challenges, and any accommodations or modifications needed to support their learning and development.
Upon enrollment, we may conduct an initial assessment to better understand your child’s needs and determine how we can best support them in our program. We may also request information from other professionals involved in your child’s care to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Accommodations
If your child has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or similar document outlining specific accommodations, please provide us with a copy. We will work with you to implement the strategies outlined and ensure your child receives the support they need to succeed.
If a child has an IEP, we must be able to fully comply with it to provide care. This ensures that we can effectively support the child’s individual needs and promote their growth and development. If a child does not have an IEP, we must be able to efficiently provide care in a group setting and obtain all necessary skills and training to care for the child appropriately.
Inclusion and Acceptance
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all children feel valued, respected, and supported. Our program promotes acceptance, empathy, and understanding among children of all abilities. We believe that diversity enriches our community and enhances the learning experience for all children.
Important: If a child fails or is at risk of failing an ASQ-3 Screening, parents must agree to an Early Intervention evaluation and any recommended therapies to maintain their childcare contract. This is vital for a child’s overall development and growth in our program.
